Our Fall 2026 theater workshops are designed to meet you where you are. Led by experienced instructors, these classes offer supportive, skill-building environments for actors at every stage of their journey—from beginners trying something new to seasoned performers ready to dig deep.
With a mix of weekday evening and weekend options, each workshop offers,ence—offers practical tools and hands-on coaching to help you grow as an artist. We’re proud to host our programming at Somerville Music Spaces, a welcoming creative hub just outside Boston.

Scene Study for Actors
What happens when you give a great scene the time it truly deserves?
In this six-week workshop, actors dive deep into one theatrical scene from a published play over six intensive weeks. This class emphasizes layered character work, detailed text analysis, and the rehearsal discipline required for compelling live performance. Together, scene partners will explore beats and intentions, character development and embodiment, vocal and physical dynamics for the stage, and how to use rehearsal as a method for developing your acting craft.
This workshop is appropriate for actors age 18 and up with prior experience. 12 participants maximum.

Monologue Ready: Brush Up Your Audition Material
Whether you're preparing for audition season or just starting to build your audition repertoire, Monologue Ready is your crash course in finding, shaping, and performing monologues that showcases your unique voice as an actor. Bring your materials and together we’ll break it down, rehearse, and perform. Perfect for actors auditioning for theater productions, college programs, or training intensives, you’ll leave the weekend with one or two performance-ready monologues.

Audition Ready: A Workshop for Musical Theatre Performers
Whether you're prepping for an upcoming audition or just want to sharpen your skills, this one-day workshop is designed to help you feel confident and prepared in the audition room. Work hands-on with director Katie Swimm and music director Jeff Kimball to fine-tune your favorite musical theatre audition cut. Each participant will get time to perform and receive feedback on musical interpretation, acting the song, and selecting material that suits them best. We’ll also cover audition do’s and don’ts, tips for reducing nerves, and how to bring your best self into the room.

Acting for Directors
This new course is designed for actors who want to direct and directors who want to refine their work with actors. Through both acting and directing exercises, real-time rehearsal techniques, and scene work, participants will gain a better understanding of the collaboration and communication necessary between actors and directors.

About Our Pricing: We know that professional development is critical to artists at all stages of their career. Please pick the price point that best fits your budget and reach out to Katie (katie@treehousecollective.us) if these price levels exceed what you can afford. If you’re able, consider purchasing at a higher tier to offset the cost for someone else.
