First Steps is a welcoming, no-pressure introduction to acting through scene work.

Whether you’re stepping onto the stage for the first time or coming back after a long break, this six-week class is designed to build confidence, skills, and joy in the process of acting. Working in pairs, students will rehearse short scenes from contemporary plays with guidance and coaching each week. Along the way, you’ll explore the fundamentals of acting, like how to break down a scene, speaking with clarity and intention, and preparing for auditions.

Advanced Scene Study Workshop

What happens when you give a great scene the time it truly deserves?

In Living the Scene, actors dive deep into one theatrical scene from a published play over six intensive weeks. This class emphasizes layered character work, detailed text analysis, and the rehearsal discipline required for compelling live performance. Together, scene partners will explore beats and intentions, character development and embodiment, vocal and physical dynamics for the stage, and how to use rehearsal as a method for developing your acting craft.

Whether you’re preparing for your next audition or just love to sing, act, and move, this class offers a fun, supportive environment to grow as a performer. Each week, students will explore a range of musical theater skills designed to strengthen their performance and stage presence. They’ll learn how to act the song by bringing clarity, emotion, and authenticity to their vocal work, while also developing vocal technique that connects lyrics to character. Movement and choreography will be used to support storytelling and expression, with no prior dance experience required. Students will rehearse scenes from musicals to build ensemble skills and deepen their understanding of character and intention. The class also includes practical audition guidance, from choosing the right materials to resume-building and walking into the room with confidence.
