Producer-at-Large
Writer, director, and producer Mariel joined The Treehouse Collective in 2025, marking a return to her roots in ensemble theater. Across both stage and screen, she creates work that explores empathy, resilience, and human connection. Mariel is currently in pre-production on her debut feature film, Red Hill Town, a project selected for the Stowe Story Labs Production Lab. Her portfolio also includes a short film honored with Special Jury Recognition at the Richmond International Film Festival, and the screenplay Burial, developed while earning her MFA at CCNY as a BAFTA Scholar.
After studying Theater and English at Penn State, Mariel served in the Peace Corps in Micronesia. She later spent several years in Washington, DC, and New York as a public policy events producer, managing communications and high-level events for leaders such as President Joe Biden and Secretaries Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell.
